Pakistan Dairy Development Company has been consulting to USAID-I-LED to develop 15 small farms in the Bagh, Kashmir earthquake zone & around Balakot in the NWFP. The consulting includes advising on shed design, yard construction, watering points, training of staff and fodder conservation. PDDC will oversee the construction of sheds and yards on the first two farms and will train I-LED staff to oversee the remainder. As cattle are delivered to the newly completed sheds PDDC will be on hand to advise I-LED and the farmer in animal health & welfare.
